Subject: U-99's biggest battle
One dark night, Otto Kretschmer and his U-99 got into
a firefight with two heavily armed British Armed Merchant Cruisers, the
LAURENTIC and PATROCLEUS. Famed war scene artist Jochen Sachse captured
this scene in a beautiful oil painting that hung over Kretschmer's desk. We
had only 250 prints made of this FULL COLOR painting, and each was
hand-signed by the great Kretschmer himself.
