Gerd Thadter was Skipper of U-466 and Hans-Georg Hess
was his I.W.O. until Hess got his own boat, U-995. These men remained close
friends through life, until Gerd began his "Eternal Patrol" last year.
Michael Wooten did a tribute to this friendship a few years ago in a print
and we had 1,000 prints made up. Both men signed all 1,000 prints a few
years ago, and now you may own one.
NOTE - 10% of all money that comes in from the sale
of these prints is donated to the German U-Boat Memorial and also the German
U-Boat-Archive. So far, we have donated $6,500 to the Memorial and $2,500
to the Archives.
