Orleans, LA....2 Days & A Wake Up....

Good Evening Gang From Max & Sea Bird:

The weather is hot, wind is down and  the sea is calm and we're just chugging along and will make our ETA of 1330 at the Julia Street  Wharf on the 19th.

Don David, Maurice & anyone else with a boat, we will be at Belle Chasse on the Mississippi between 1000 & 1100 on the 19th.  We'll be working V.H.F. channel 01 A and be looking for you.

We set our clocks back an hour today and Sea Bird didn't like it, he says it interferes with his courting time.  He has a bunch of girl Egrets & Gulls back on the Ole Girl that he is making improper advances toward and spends most of the day being cool.

Today we had a pod of Hump Back whales meet us today.  They were so close we had to alter course to get out of their way.  There were 10 or 12 of them and one even did a big time dive for us giving  us the old tail fin wave.

We had grilled steak & twice baked potatoes for supper tonight.  Jim cooked the steaks & Shane did the potatos and salad.

The time to New Orleans is getting shorter and the crew is really looking forward  to some outstanding liberty, as am I, my Jerris will be at the pier.

It's about time to go watch the Gulf sunset from the Veranda.

That's all for tonight.  Good night Bob and  Maurice wherever you are and as always, Jerris I love you.

Later,

Max Bassett
