The Last" Max & Sea Bird Report" for a while.

Capt Dom unhooked the tow and took the Ole Girl on the Rhea's Hip which makes for a lot easier handling in the river. We had quite a current when we first turned up River, but she has slowed down some now.

I have to apologize to Gene Haley and his family as I forgot to mention Gene when he came aboard in Key West. He rode Razorback from 1945-1948 and was one of the youngest sailors to ride her. He's riding to New Orleans.

Sea Bird is really not looking forward to all the people that will be there to meet us, says that he's going to hide like he did in Key West. I'll try my best, but he's a stubborn little fellow, I even promised him he could do a dirty to the Mayor's hat, but he's still hesitating.

Everything is going smooth & looks like our ETA is still firm so we will see a bunch of you at the pier.

All for Tonight.

Good night Maurice & Bob wherever you are, we did it!

As Always, Jerris I Love you, See You Tomorrow.

Later,

Max Bassett MMCM(SS) USN Ret...&...Of Course...Sea Bird...(The Puffin)...
