Hey Gang:
Here we are making figure 8s in the ocean waiting for Sunday morning so we can pull in to Key West. It's only one day and a wake up away. We are B-B-Q'ing steaks on the grill tonight.
We had a big time surprise this morning-- guess who is back? Yep, you guessed it, Sea Bird is back! He said he got back last night and he's a bit worse for wear--said he now knows better then to listen to those Italian gulls. He must have run the Jaegers Bird off as he's not around. Sea Bird wants to declare Arkansas Citizenship., said he might even get to like the Mayor, and then promptly did a dirty on his clean shirt (Nasty Bird).
Mike Rainwater, you don't know how great my Jerris really is. I am one of the luckiest guys in the world just to have her, even if she is an AirDale. I have drank many a pitcher of Bug Juice & Gilly as I'm sure many of us have.
Ron Gorence will be glad to help out with expenses for any Older Sub Vet that can't afford the trip to NLR, we know it's really a tough life out here for some.
James Mason, former COB on the Ole Girl from 57/60, and TMC Ed Feeley's widow are R/Ving down to NLR.
The Razorback will be open for limited tours in N.O. and we need tour guides so apply now by writing to John Adams at John@Yachtsone.com. Thanks Red Fish Base for all the help.
Tomorrow will be the last nightly report until the 14th or 15th depending on what time we get underway from Key West.
That is all for tonight.
Good night Maurice & Bob wherever you are and as always, Jerris I love you.
Later,
Max Bassett MMCM (SS) USN Ret. and Sea Bird (The Puffin), again...
