From NSL UPDATE 06-24-04

Captain Harry M. Yockey, USN(Ret.)
MAJ H. Mark Yockey reports, "On Wednesday, 16 JUN 04 at 0450 hours, Dad ended his struggle with cancer. He was at home, surrounded by love and went peacefully and quietly off to Heaven - his final cruise. I had made it back here from Iraq only last night and with my sister Cheryl, dad's sister Nancy, Dad's beloved wife Jackie and her son Jeff, we all just blanketed him with love and shared stories. Dad showed some recognition of this and I am convinced was hanging on until I could take the helm. It was as good a send off as I can imagine. He was the third Tomahawk Project (Program) Manager and the first PMA-280."

"Funeral services for my dad will be on 30 JUN 04. Beginning with a closed casket Christian service at 1100 hrs, Calvary Chapel, 4425 Valeta Street, San Diego, CA 92107 (Pt. Loma Area) and followed by a Military Honors Service at Ft. Rosecrans National Cemetery at 1400 hrs. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be sent in memory of CAPT Harry Yockey to Voice of Hope, High Adventures Ministry, P.O. Box 197569, Louisville, KY, 40259; phone contact (502)968-7550."
