To do a reset first turn the radio off.
Then press and hold down the MR and VFO both at the same time as you turn it back on.
Once it's powered up you may release them.
If you do not have extended rec turn the radio back off.
Then press and hold down the MHZ UP and MHZ DOWN as you turn the radio back on.

I bought my Yeasu FT-530 HT new in January 1993. In late 2003 the internal battery died. I got a replacement battery recently, but all my memory was gone - as expected. However, the radio does not recognize the clock key and other functions.
I cannot find my User's Manual or the copies that I made of it.
Can you tell me how I can reset the radio to its defaults, i.e. what combination of keys to press simultaneously to reset the radio?
