A dispatch received from Cairo tells us that Iran
launched an anti-ship missile on 4 April. We already reported on this, but
new information indicates that this missile will defeat any enemy ECM
(Emergency Counter Measures). Not good news!
Another report from Cairo tells that Iran conducted
large scale military maneuvers from 31 March to 4 April in its waters in the
areas of Holmes Strait, an important waterway for tankers. During these
exercises, they tested a new generation multi-warhead missile which can
strike many targets from a single missile.
They also tested an underwater missile that is
fired from a surface ship and travels through the water at 100 meters per
second! The fuzzy photos of this "missile" make it look like a large
torpedo rather than a missile.
Can it be that Iran now has a quantity of the
Russian made SQVAL torpedoes, capable of speeds up to 220 mph IN THE WATER?
These 'missiles' target either surface vessels or submarines and if this is
the SQVAL, there is no defense.
